The Many Other Benefits of Fire Cider

Next year, I’m going to explore the ‘Metabolic’ benefits of Fire Cider, so I thought I’d share those insights with you today. I’ve had a long journey with my metabolism, one where I had to stop dieting for over a year and try to maintain a healthy calorie intake. This journey led me to discover the ‘Metabolic’ benefits of Fire Cider. These benefits include boosting metabolism, regulating appetite, and stabilizing blood sugar levels. I had dieted for so long that I started getting high blood pressure, my cortisol was out of wack, and I wasn’t sleeping well! Here is how it can help you also going forward in the new year with your new goals!

  • Increase metabolism. Fire cider’s spicy, savory ingredients help boost metabolism by raising the body’s internal temperature and promoting the breakdown of fats, which can support healthy weight management.
  • Aids in Weight Loss: Fire cider helps regulate appetite and metabolism. Its apple cider vinegar is known to help stabilize blood sugar levels and reduce cravings for unhealthy foods. It can be taken before meals to help control hunger and support healthy digestion.
  • Balances Blood Sugar: Fire cider’s combination of vinegar, ginger, garlic, and onions helps regulate blood sugar levels, making it a valuable tonic for those managing blood sugar issues or aiming to balance energy levels throughout the day. Add some Cinnamon and get further blood sugar-balancing effects.

Fire Cider also benefits the circulatory and cardiovascular systems. So, you can see where this would help me… When I try to lose weight, my body still wants to freak out a little, and my blood pressure goes up a little.

  • Improves Circulation: The warming, spicy ingredients in fire cider, such as cayenne pepper and ginger, help stimulate circulation. Improved blood flow brings warmth to cold extremities and supports the heart and cardiovascular system. By promoting circulation, fire cider helps relieve cold-induced pain and stagnation in the body.
  • Heart Health: Ingredients like garlic and apple cider vinegar have been shown to help lower cholesterol levels, reduce blood pressure, and improve overall cardiovascular health. Fire cider is often included in heart-healthy regimens for its ability to support circulation and reduce inflammation.

There are many more benefits to Fire Cider, all of which I can use some support for! These benefits include immune system support, digestive health, and overall vitality. It’s a win-win situation!

Pain Relief and Joint Health

  • Fire Cider is a comforting ally in relieving joint pain. Its anti-inflammatory properties, including ginger, turmeric, and garlic, work together to alleviate the discomfort associated with arthritis and other inflammatory joint conditions. The warming nature of these herbs helps reduce stiffness and promote mobility, especially in cold, damp weather.
  • Fire Cider is a soothing topical for muscle soreness. It can be used topically in compresses or as a liniment to relieve muscle soreness and stiffness. The warming effect of cayenne and ginger provides a comforting sensation, helping to soothe tired muscles and promote faster recovery.

Fire Cider Aids in Detoxification

  • Fire Cider is a rejuvenating tonic that aids in detoxification. Apple cider vinegar and other ingredients in fire cider help support liver function by promoting detoxification. Vinegar encourages bile production and helps cleanse the liver, while the warming herbs stimulate circulation and the elimination of toxins from the body.
  • Promotes Lymphatic Drainage: Fire cider is also known to stimulate the lymphatic system, helping to move lymphatic fluid and facilitate the clearance of toxins and waste from the body. This is especially helpful during illness or after exposure to environmental toxins.

FIRE CIDER DOSING:

  • A small dose (1–2 tablespoons) in water or juice can help maintain immune health, promote digestion, and support overall vitality. It can be taken first thing in the morning or before meals.
  • Fire cider can also be used in culinary applications, such as adding it to salad dressings, marinades, or soups for a healthful, spicy boost.

CAUTIONS:

  • Pregnancy: small amounts only needed.
  • Lactation: use in smaller amounts.
  • Sensitive Stomachs: Fire cider can be quite potent and spicy, so those with sensitive stomachs, heartburn, or ulcers should use it cautiously or dilute it more heavily.
  • Spicy Ingredients: To avoid irritation, individuals sensitive to spicy foods may want to reduce the amount of cayenne or other hot peppers in the recipe.
  • Long-term use: Using large amounts daily can dry a person, especially if not balanced with honey or sugar. It can dry out the sinuses or your constitution too much, which is irritating. Signs to stop: severe dryness. Mucus that turns green. An arid, stuck cough. Using right at the beginning of a cold/cough is most beneficial for 2-3 days or until symptoms are gone.
