My Greatest Challenge Turned Into Something Great!

greatest challenge

When my daughter was 4 months old, I had my 1st Strongman Competition. After my 4th competition, I was getting migraines that would last 3 days or more almost weekly.

I had struggled with migraines for years, but usually only 1 time a month. I had a bulging disk, and I got that fixed, and the pain just seemed to move upwards. I could barely move my arms without being set back in pain for 3 days with a migraine.

I met with many specialists, none of whom helped. Then I met my new friend Roni Pinkerton. (Who later got her Doctorate as a Family Nurse Practitioner) She was a gift from heaven. She fixed me in 2 weeks! Changed my diet and put me on a bunch of supplements, and I was better!

This got me on a new path. Realizing the importance of diet and what you eat and your health. Gluten was the trigger for inflammation and my migraines. I removed that, and no more pain. I still had some other issues and was introduced to another Herbalist, Kate Bodemann. Another gift!

She taught me about herbs in my backyard that could improve my health, and now look where I am at! I’m a Herbalist helping others with the challenges in their lives. My newest challenges were convincing clients that diet and lifestyle changes are a must along with using herbs, or getting clients to get into the new habit of taking herbs. This challenge led me to think there had to be a better way to help my clients so I have taken a course to be a certified Health and Life Coach to hopefully help you all turn your challenges into gifts also!

What in your life has been your challenge that became your greatest gift?
